Sacred LOTUS Temple in India 🇮🇳 Delhi

First of all, let’s take off our shoes and deposit them in the shoe room. Since it is a temple, you cannot enter the temple wearing shoes.

More than 10000 people from all over the world come to this temple.

This is a temple of the Bahai religion. Such temples exist in many other countries like America, Uganda, Australia, Germany, Panama, Samoa, and Chile.

An interesting fact here is that you will see the number 9 on many sides, like 9 entrances, 9 corners, and 9 pools. The reason behind this number 9 everywhere is that between 1 to 10, 9 is the biggest number and 9 are the major votes.

And if you count the characters of Bahá’u’lláh, you will find that there are also 9 of them.

If you want to learn more about the Baha’i Faith & don’t know about the Bahai religion, there is a museum right opposite the Lotus Temple where you can learn a lot more.
